Manchester United produced a sensational second-half display after conceding twice to rivals Leeds at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

However, the Red Devils rallied back in the second half through in-form United forward Marcus Rashford, who has been in fine goalscoring form since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

January signing Marcel Sabitzer picked out Facundo Pellistri before he played the ball into the path of Diogo Dalot, who fired a stunning cross into the Leeds box.

Rashford connected with Dalot’s cross to bury the ball past Leeds ‘keeper Illan Meslier and to pull United back into the contest.

Jadon Sancho, who came off the bench, made an instant impact in his first home league match since last October by finding the all-important equaliser for United.

“What a way for Jadon Sancho to make his return,” one fan said.

While another wrote: “Sancho clearly been through some serious struggle recently, so hearing that crowd must be such an unbelievable feeling.”

“Special moment for Jadon Sancho after a difficult few months,” a third added.

Another fan posted: “That’s how you get a player back confident. Throw him in the deep end and see how he responds. Brilliant, Sancho.”

One Twitter user tweeted: “A happy Sancho is a beautiful player to watch.”

United secured an important point in their quest for a top-four finish, with Erik ten Hag’s men third in the league table and two points behind Manchester City.

Leeds, meanwhile, are 16th in the league table and are level on points with 17th-place West Ham, with the Whites only one point clear of the relegation zone.

The Red Devils and Leeds will play their second consecutive Premier League match against one another on Sunday at Elland Road.
