Jake Paul has claimed that his older brother Logan urged him to retire from boxing following his latest win – but the man himself insists he won’t leave the sport until he becomes a ‘champion’.
His impressive display put several prospective opponents on notice, as the former YouTube vlogger showed the watching world that he can box cleverly as well as throw bombs.
However, in the days following his impressive win over the man many regard as the UFC GOAT, he disclosed something that Logan Paul had privately told him.
In a conversation with MMA Fighting following the bout in Arizona, Paul said: “My brother [Logan] says that I should retire and leave the world and people with their jaws dropped.”
Far from retiring from the sport with a record of 6-0 (including four KOs), The Problem Child states that he first wants to become a champion.

“(Logan) gave me a speech in the locker room. I love that man so much and he just put it all in perspective as to what we are accomplishing together.
“It’s so amazing to have a partner in crime, the kid is a genius and he’s such a kind person. I look up to him and he inspires me every day.”
Logan has also stepped into the ring on several occasions, most notably against Floyd Mayweather. The 27-year-old was outclassed throughout, but won plaudits for landing a few clean blows on the legendary boxer in their 2021 exhibition fight.
The elder Paul brother is still without a win in the boxing ring, having drawn with – and then lost to – UK YouTuber KSI.

The Ohio-native claims that he has all the time in the world, with his next bout likely to take place in the first half of 2023.
He added: “Originally I said I was going to go 10-0 and then retire, but now I’m 6-0 and it feels like I’m just getting warmed up. Who knows what ends up happening.
“I think I’ll fight again in the first or second quarter of next year. I’d be down, we can make something happen.”
