Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has spared no expense after dropping an eye-watering amount of money on an incredible Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing in 2017, has been a huge box-office draw in the sport and continued to make money from his exhibition fights.

The boxing Hall of Famer has continued to live up to his ‘Money’ moniker with one of his most recent purchases.

According to TMZ, Mayweather splashed out a hefty $330,000 (around £270,098) on his new sports car.

The website claimed that the former five-weight world champ linked up with Obi Okeke and ‘Doctor Bugatti’ told Mayweather that ‘he needed a car’ while in town.

Okeke said Mayweather ‘wired him the money’ during an exchange on the phone, with ‘Money’ ‘interested’ in getting another sports car for his collection.

The undefeated ex-boxer has faced criticism over his decision to fight in exhibition bouts against the likes of Don Moore, Mikuru Asakura and Tenshin Nasukawa.

However, Mayweather insisted that his “philosophy” is based around money and the exhibition fights are allowing him to continue bringing in the cash.

“A lot of time people say, ‘Oh, Floyd have to do exhibitions,’” he said.

“My philosophy is never stop getting it [money]. Currency over legacy. Currency over legacy.

“Believe me, if I don’t ever do another exhibition in my life, I can live a great life.”
