‘going-to-generate-headlines’-–-journalist-drops-transfer-hint-after-arsenal-targets-‘sign-me’-plea

Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk has signalled he would be open to moving to the Emirates, according to a journalist.

Mudryk has hinted that he is open to a move away from Shakhtar Donetsk and Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign the forward.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal would have to smash their record transfer fee and splash €100million to sign the wonderkid.

Mudryk, 21, has taken the Champions League by storm this season with three goals and two assists in his six appearances in the competition.

Arsenal are ‘no doubt’ interested in Mudryk

If he were to join the Gunners, the Ukrainian would be heading to a team that is very much on the up.

Mudryk spoke to Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko’s wife in an interview and was very open about his future.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Charles Watts from GOAL.com said: “Arsenal are interested in him [Mudryk], no doubt about that.

“He’s definitely a player that’s going to generate lots of headlines, especially if he keeps talking the way he did in this video. I don’t know if you want to describe it as a come-and-get-me plea, but it was certainly someone waving a flag in the air saying, ‘look, somebody please sign me in January’.”

Speaking to The Times, Mudryk was asked if he will play in England one day: “Yes, yes, it is possible,” he said. “The Premier League is the best league in the world and everyone wants to play in this league.

“I’m only at a maximum of 20 percent of my potential.”
