Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather demanded a £10,000 fee to appear on one of the UK’s most popular podcasts.
Mayweather has made a number of investments since retirement and commands a high fee for appearances.
It’s something the True Geordie found out when he tried to book the 45-year-old for an episode of the ‘True Geordie Podcast’ previously.
He sent the feelers out to a friend of Mayweather’s regarding a potential link-up and received a huge price back.

“I thought ‘you know, ‘I’ll ask’ and I got through, through the friend of a friend. I got quoted ten grand to have him on the podcast.
“I thought, ‘I don’t know what to make of that’. If you’ve got loads of money, why quote me ten grand?
“I just think that everything is for a price with him and maybe that’s just him being smart. But I didn’t pay it.”
Mayweather retired from professional competition in 2017 after defeating UFC superstar Conor McGregor in an huge inter-promotional bout.
Next up is Deji, the brother of popular rapper and boxer KSI.
Mayweather said in a statement: “I am delighted to bring this incredible boxing experience to Dubai. Global Titans will give fans an unrivalled boxing match with a huge undercard.
“It is an honour to be a part of such an iconic event in an iconic city, and I would like to thank the Global Titans team for reaching out to me and giving back so much to the sport I love.”
