The 22-year-old has taken English football by storm since joining City in a £51m move from Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.

The Norway international is being handsomely rewarded by City, with a new report claiming he is by far the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

The Daily Mail claim Haaland could be earning as much as £900,000 per week at the Etihad.

While he is said to receive a “basic salary which is line with the other higher earners” at City, Haaland is also set to earn a “series of substantial, almost-guaranteed bonuses” that will bump his weekly salary over the £850,000 mark.

According to the report, Haaland is expected to earn at least £45m at City this season, which equates to £865,000 per week.

Haaland’s huge wages are no doubt a result of his relatively low transfer fee.

City pulled off a major coup by signing the highly-rated striker, triggering the £51m release clause in his contract at Dortmund – fending off competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the process.
