Danylo Sikan produced the worst miss in Champions League history during Shakhtar Donetsk’s 1-1 draw with Celtic.
The Ukrainian outfit entered Tuesday’s clash knowing avoiding defeat would take qualification from Group F down to the final matchday.
Mykhaylo Mudryk’s sensational solo effort in the second half cancelled out Georgios Giakoumakis’ opener for Celtic, but Shakhtar had a glorious chance to seal all three points and move a point behind RB Leipzig in second.
Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers committed to a challenge which allowed Mudryk to skip away from him.
Hart closed down Mudryk with Sikan making a move into the box. Mudryk selflessly put the ball across goal and into Sikan’s path.
It was an open net for Sikan to tap into. How he managed to mess it up, we’ll never know.
The Ukraine international side-footed his effort wide to the shock of everyone inside Celtic Park.
Fans have reacted to the miss and they think it’ll haunt Sikan forever.
One person said: “The mad thing is this’ll probably send them to the Europa League.”
Another put: “How did he get this so wrong?”
A third tweeted: “This is an absolute shocker.”
While someone added: “Genuinely disgraceful. the worst I’ve ever seen.”

Leipzig ran out 3-2 winners over Real Madrid elsewhere in the group.
First-half goals from Josko Gvardiol and Christopher Nkunku followed by a late Timo Werner strike sealed a historic victory for Marco Rose’s side.
Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo halved the deficit in each half, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Los Blancos from slipping to their first defeat of the season.
