Aaron Ramsdale rattled Leeds United fans yet again after Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Elland Road.

Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the game in the first half in what was an eventful affair in West Yorkshire.

Patrick Bamford had a goal disallowed, missed a penalty after William Saliba handled the ball in the area and thought he had won a second spot-kick late on following an altercation with Gabriel Magalhaes.

A red card was also brandished for Gabriel’s kick-out at Bamford but after watching the incident on the screen, referee Chris Kavanagh completely reversed his decision.

Leeds fans were already extremely irate but then when the final whistle blew, Ramsdale had them on strings.

In a video from LUFC Lewis on YouTube, the Arsenal shotstopper went back over to his goal to collect his drink and towel but not before fist pumping and sarcistally applauding the opposition fans behind the goal.

There was a monumental fume from Leeds fans, who gave Ramsdale a load of abuse and had hand gestures to go with it.

Ramsdale played for local rivals Sheffield United and has developed an interesting rapport with the Leeds faithful.

He triggered them badly in the 4-1 win in December 2021 and there was even a stadium tannoy announcement telling fans to leave him alone.

“As a whole, we were outstanding defensively,” Ramsdale said after the victory and clean sheet, as per Reuters.

“A 1-0 win away from home at Leeds is a really tough ask and we’ve done that.

“Of course we want to win 3-0 each week, passing the ball, but we found a way to win today and that’s the most important thing.

“Bukayo got a goal, but couldn’t get him into the game. We were just losing duels and stuff, but like I say from back to front the whole game we were outstanding defensively.”
